GPS Speedsurfing is an exciting sport, speed are reached between 30-50kn (55 and 92km/h). It is great to be out and play with the wind, feel the forces of strong mother nature . With a handheld GPS device it is possible to see what speed you are doing.
There is a constant battle between sailors/ kitesurfers / windsurfers who is the fastest. Recordattempts are being organized in nuclear winds just to go a few 0.1 of a knot faster. The sailboat hydroptere broke all records, so the kitesurfers and windsurfers are hungry to get their record back!
Also amateur windsurfers are massively putting speed online on GPS-Speedsurfing.com. It is really a challenge for both professional and amateur. Going as fast as you can and dare, the best part about speedsurfing it is not extreme dangerous, when you crash the water makes it a bit more comftable.
With the speed:world:cup, gps team challenge, fun speed meetings and a lot of national speed events there is enough challenge for everyone
What do you need for speedsurfing?
