Best scary movies of 2008

Horror movies are one of my favorite movie genre. And in my opinion one of the best time to watch this movies are late night, when you are all alone!!!

There is different type of horror movies like supernatural , naturalistic, and the scientific. but i think supernatural movies are more scary because they are more related to our real life’s ,like ghost, demons , zombies and vampires. It’s always hard to collect the best one’s , but we tryed to do our best to collect the best scary movies of 2008.

most of this films are related to adults ,so avoid to watch this movies with your children.so here is our list of

Best scary movies of 2008

Let The Right One In

Tomas Alfredson’s “Let The Right One In” is an original, dark, twisted and gory horror fantasy, one of those special films that are hard to classify.

Not merely an exercise in style, his film is a brilliant piece of amoral storytelling, and even if some characters’ actions defy any logic or common sense (I don’t wanna spoil any moment here, but you’ll know what I mean when the first revenge moment of the story happens), they seem to be there just to remind you that this is just a fantasy tale (but not for the little ones!).(IMDB : 8.1/10)

Orphanage

Bone chilling terrors with a hint of the fantastic await audiences who dare to enter The Orphanage. Produced by Guillermo Del Toro, The Orphanage continues the tradition the filmmaker started with films like The Devil’s Backbone and Pan’s Labyrinth, by showing the darker sides of humanity through frightening fantasies.

In many ways Spanish director Juan Antonio Bayona has applied Del Toro’s own winning formula to The Orphanage and has made the most flawless film of this lineage. (IMDB :7.7/10)

CloverField

A steadily decreasing number of impossibly pretty and wealthy New York twenty-somethings scramble around Manhatten island as it is briskly destroyed both by a gigantic, unseen creature of some kind, and the US military, who are trying to kill it.There’s a very rough through-line involving a missing ex-girlfriend, but as far as story goes, thats your lot.(IMDB:7.4/10)

The Strangers

Saw the screening for this film and it was truly terrifying. The whole audience was screaming at parts and there are several scenes that make you jump. The tension buildup during the movie is incredible. Some of the scenes are disturbing but not overly gory. Liv Tyler does a convincing job of making you feel the fright and a lot of the acting is non-verbal. Scott Speed man also does an excellent and believable job.

With today’s crazy headlines, this is the kind of movie that you can actually imagine happening somewhere in this country in real life. Trust me, at the end of this movie you will be double checking the locks on your doors and windows. (IMDB : 6.0/10)

Eden Lake

Stephen Taylor (Michael Fassbender) invites his girlfriend, the kindergarten teacher Jenny (Kelly Reilly), to spend the weekend in Eden Lake, a paradisiacal and remote place in the woods where he used to go in his childhood and that will be flooded sooner; however, his true intention is to propose Jenny.

While camping at the lakeshore, they are disturbed by a gang of loathsome boys leaded by the punk Brett (Jack O’Connell).( IMDB :7.0/10)

Quarantine

Television reporter Angela Vidal and her cameraman are assigned to spend the night shift with a Los Angeles Fire Station.

After a routine 911 call takes them to a small apartment building, they find police officers already on the scene in response to blood curdling screams coming from one of the apartment units . (IMDB : 6.1/10)

Midnight Meat Train

There’s something deeply disturbing about the ‘show biz’ politics and intrigues that managed to exile such a well made film to the ‘dollar theaters’.

On the other hand, horror purists of all calibre will probably get a kick out of seeing the visceral shocks and convoluted twists Riuhei Kitamura and Clibe Barker have prepared for our enjoyment in the environment of a seedy, rundown theater. (IMDB : 6.4/10)

The Ruins

While on vacation in a resort in Mexico, the Americans Jeff, his girlfriend Amy, her best friend Stacy and her boyfriend Eric befriend the German Mathias in the swimming pool.

Mathias invites the group to visit the ruins of a Mayan temple with his Greek friend Dimitri in an archeological field where his brother Henrich and his girlfriend are camped eighteen kilometers far from the resort. (IMDB : 6.0/10)

Saw V

The Saw series has always been a standard of sorts. After what I felt was an iconic debut, the series has always remained consistently interesting, with one of the most compelling and ever expanding plots in film history.

People may complain that the series is in decline, but what people need to realize is that each part is astronomically better than the corresponding parts of other horror series (for example, Saw IV is better than Halloween IV, or the 4th Nightmare on Elm Street film). (IMDB : 5.8/10)
